Put something on the line.
On the Line is an optional social layer for managers who want the weekly matchup to mean something beyond a win or loss.
How weekly stakes work
Before or during a matchup, the league can choose a reward for the winner and a punishment for the loser. Stakes can be light, practical, funny or completely custom. A separate championship stake can carry through the entire season.
Good stakes are specific and mutual
The best ideas are easy to understand, easy to settle and agreed to by both people. Examples include choosing dinner, taking over a chore, wearing the rival team's gear, planning a date night or posting a harmless victory message.
Why it changes the matchup
A normal fantasy score can feel abstract. A small real-world consequence creates a story. Suddenly a late touchdown, missed field goal or Monday-night comeback has a payoff people remember and talk about.
